TT132-Bling it on!

Hi Friends, Thanks for joining me for the Tuesday Throwdown, Bling it on challenge, my first one as a design team member! The challenge is to add bling to your project. No problem there!

I had the pleasure of using a Lily Patch Stamps digital image, you can find is here. Lily Patch Stamps
I colored the image with Copics and matched my coloring to some K& Co. papers.

I used Recollections Pearls for my bling, my new to me, fishtail dies from MFT, some PTI twine, and last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch 176.
I'm thrilled to have this all occasion card in my stash, which can be used for Sympathy, Get Well, anything! Thanks for joining me.

C4C170

Hi all, Guess what I did today? I played in the current Crazy4Challenges 170 and I cased a card from the fabulous Barbara at Paper Pursuits! That's what the challenge is, to case one of her cards while she is recovering from hand surgery.
I found "six" birthday cards that I want to case but settled on this one. Click here to see her card.
I have a party to go to next Saturday and wanted a festive pretty card for the birthday girl. I didn't have the stamp she used so I used this Fiskars one.  I had so much fun making the balloons with my circut. Talk about fussy! but oh, so fun. The paper is MME, Life of the Party. Ribbon is PTI.
Thanks for visiting!

Bee any sweeter?

Hey there, continuing on with the Valentine making, I'm making the rounds with all my stamps that can be used for this holiday. I've been wanting to color up this cute Kraftin Kimmie Bee from the stamp set with it's matching "bee" sentiment. (It must be retired, I couldn't find it on the KK site) Then I went to the past sketches archives at The Sweet Spot to find a sketch that would fit in a few challenges.
I used some pretty Crate Paper "Random" paper and a My paper studio embossing folder that I picked up a Hobby Lobby. The closest Hobby Lobby is 2 hours from my house in Rhode Island but it was worth the trip! I hope they build one closer to me.

TT203

Hi all, I made this cared for the newest Flourishes TT 203 challenge, use Red, Emerald and Brown. I dug thru my papers to find these and settled on them. I chose this weeks Mojo Monday sketch and got to work. I used my fairly new Cherry Lynn die, leafy flourish. I layered a circle spellbinder over another label spellbinder. A piece of lace, some seam binding, twine and pearls were added as well as a little PTI tag. Thanks for looking!

MFTWSC107 and more

Hey Friends, Still pumping out the Valentine cards and having lots of paper fun! I don't know if this MFT Pure Innocence stamp was designed for Valentine card making but she sure fits the bill for a cute valentine!

This card will probably go to my country-music-lovin DD, Cara. That girl can go to a country bar, watch people for 2 seconds, a instantly learn a line dance! She brilliant that way. Me, I'm a bumbling clod who needs hours of instruction to learn a dance!
I feel I should have matted the blue layer of this card to make it stand out. I didn't notice it until after the whole card was glued down. Oh well, I still like it. I used Carta Bella paper, the newest line. I have to start making a list of supplies while creating. The sketch really appealed to me and called me to use it plus I am getting quite a collection of MFT dies and stamps so I want to use them. Lists below, have a great weekend!

SSS193, CR84FN

Hi, My friend is about to become a first time Grandmother. I had to mark the occasion with a card, of course, and it had to be elegant. She doesn't prefer cutesy so I went a little vintage/elegant. What paper says vintage/elegant other than Graphic 45? She's having a grandson so I went with this week's CR84FN color challenge. It's perfect for this!
(This is the photo without photo highlights editing, I couldn't decide if it looked better without the editing).

ds84

Hi Friends, I'm going on day 10 of some virus/infection that has me feeling miserable. I do feel well enough to craft but not much else! lol. I hope I get well soon. I've had it with this. So on to the card...
I made this card for the Flourishes TT202 "New" challenge. My new items are the paper pack, Crate Paper-Fourteen, the heart shaped circle punch, EK success and the grey twine, Doodlebug, I think. I also use an embossing folder, MME button, pearls and Antique Linen Distress Ink (my fav).
As you can see, I also used the DS84-Sketch. Another great one by Jen S.
So, aren't these colors luscious? Love them!

Ahoy Matey!

Hey there, I have been making lots of cards lately and having fun! I decided to go for what I thought at first would be a hard challenge, the There She Goes color challenge this week! Blue, Black and Yellow, what??
I truly couldn't imagine those colors together at first. So I went home and looked thru my TSG stamps and found this stamp set! Oh, so THIS is how I can use these colors...(Yes, I added a little red).
I used this week's SSSC175 for the sketch. I am playing in several challenges:

KK Animal House

Hey there, I wanted to play in the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge this week. The challenge is Animal House, use a  stamp with an animal on it! I didn't think I had one (besides Speedy the Turtle) so when I looked thru my KK stamps, I found "Bella". And she has KITTIES!!! Now I know why I bought it and she was fun to color.
I used my new Crate Paper-Fourteen again. Some other products used are a "new to me" MFT flower die, pearls, sewing machine.
Thanks for stopping by today!

FLLCJAN13

Hi Friends, I made this for the Flourishes Jan. Release Challenge cuz I want to win some new stamps! I love Flourishes stamps. Last year I bought this set and didn't use it. I sure had fun when I inked it up yesterday. I used a new paper pack, Crate Paper-Fourteen. It's more vintage-y than I expected but I like it. I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch, just changed it a little bit. I got the ribbon from Flourishes too. The little tag is PTI and so is the Love sentiment. The sweet friend sentiment is Flourishes. Spellbinder dies, a punch, dew drops, and bakers twine were also used.

BTW, if any of you are having trouble with uploading photos in Blogger, use Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. ( I learned that today when looking for a solution.)

Take care!, Kim

DS83

Good Evening Friends, I'm getting a jump on a Valentine card while getting to use this fabulous Carta Bella Paper! It's soooo pretty.

This is my card for the Deconstructed Sketch DT Call. I would so love to be on this team. I love sketches and almost never make a card without one. (although I did today, lol)!
I used the great TSG stamp set "Buckets of Love". Very fun set....

For the half circle cut outs I used a tiny spellbinder die because I don't have a punch that size. I was trying to do something a little different. I added some pearls and some nice red polka dot ribbon. Copics were used to color, of course, oh I love them so.

I enjoyed making this and I hope to make many more cards for the Deconstructed Sketch. :)

Take care! Kim

A Happy Hello

Hi there, I don't know what's wrong with Blogger but I can't add any more photos or challenge images to this post. :) Don't know why.
I started my card idea with a Flourishes stamp set, A year of Flowers 2. I used the morning glories and also a sentiment from another flourishes set, Sentimental Favorites.
The sketch I used was Mojo 273. Paper is Pink Paisley. Trim is Tim Holtz ruffled trim, some ribbon, and some pearls colored with Copics.
Kim :)
