Spring cards

Hi Peeps, Still nothing like spring in my neck of the woods but we are wishing! I made a couple springy cards. The first one uses the Freshly Made Sketch 179 and some Paper Smooches stamps called A Magical Spring.

My Mojo has been hiding lately and making me not want to post cards. I make them but don't post half of them. I guess I'll have to get over that! I still enjoy making cards. (So much pressure I put on myself!)

Following the sketch I made a focal panel with some Lil Inkers stitched rectangle dies, a MS grass punch, the bunny and bird stamped on patterned paper and a little sun from a retired TSG stamp set. A wood veneer element and enamel dots finish it off. The Paper is Amercian Crafts, can't remember the name!

Crazy4 Challenges 279 -Think Spring
Sweet Stampin -Easter
Brown Sugar Challenge-139 -Easter
Simon says Stamp Wed. Challenge -Anything goes

This one is Deconstructed Sketch 193 and Lawn Fawn stamps. I used the same paper pad as above. I made a shaker and kept it simple. This time I used Fun Foam as the base layer between the card base and patterned paper. This way looks so much better from the side than when using strips of foam tapes.

I highly recommend doing a shaker this way. You just die cut a circle in the foam the same as the top paper. The hedgies are colored with Copics. I used Doodlebug sequins from a challenge prize and a piece of bakers twine.

Merry Monday 150

Hi Friends, I'm playing a Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge this week. It's one of my favorite challenge blogs, the ladies are so sweet. This week we are to use gifts on our cards. Easy right? I kinda had a hard time but I got it after a while of searching my stamps. I'm trying to keep my Christmas cards fairly simple for mailing.

This week I used My Minds Eye Winter Wonderland paper and matching stamp set. Papertrey Ink card stock, Momento Inks, ribbon from Michaels and some gems were used on this card. By the way, if you want your bow to sit like this on your card, use 2 pieces of ribbon. One piece stretched across the piece of paper and taped on the back, then a second piece slipped under the horizontal piece and tied into a bow by hand.

I used Inspired By Stamping February Sketch. I thought it was a current one because Paper Playful had it on their Friday post but is was incorrect. I don't blame them though because keeping track of all the challenges would make my head spin!!!! People get mad at them but I don't. They make it possible to find challenges to link up to without searching the web for hours. ( In case you've never heard of them.)

Merry Monday Challenge 150 -Feature gifts
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge -Singing or a song (I used the song Happy Holidays)
Sweet Stampin Challenge -Sentiment as the Focus
Brown Sugar Challenge Anything Goes

Happy Green Day

Hi everyone, Happy St. Patrick's Day. I'd better get this posted before the day gets away from me. I'm sharing a couple cards used with the new-to-me Paper Smooches stamp set Luck of the Irish. Oh gosh, how cute and fun to color. I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 260

Did you see that they have a new blog site? Be sure to click the link above if you want to play along.
I made 2 cards with different papers, one for each daughter. I just love the color green so I had a blast making these and I think some more paper smooches stamps are going to find their way to my house. This is my first set but won't be my last!

Some other challenges:
Paper Smooches Challenge -Anything Goes (link was incorrect, I fixed it)
The Pink Elephant #290 -Green
Papertake Weekly -Happy Anything

Merry and Mojo Mondays

Hi friends, gotta do a quick post today to share a few cards. The first one is Merry Monday 148, use red and green. As you can see I have ALOT of red and green going on. I used a pagemap sketch but don;t have time to link it. Getting ready to leave for vacation in half and hour. :)

My second card features a Mojo Monday sketch 387. My inspiration starting point was a CAS challenge with the word basket. I can't link it up because it didn't turn out CAS. I had a lot of fun coloring it and just NEEDED to match some Basic Grey paper. The stamp is retired Flourishes. I hope to color it again and try a CAS one.

gotta go! see you next week!

2Cute Birthday Card

Hey Peeps! I needed a birthday card for my 5 year old niece for next week so I made up this little cutie! I won 2 digital stamps recently from 2 Cute Ink. This one is called Lucky Unicorn. I colored her with copics to match my paper from Doddlebug. I added Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to the rainbow (which I regret, I liked it better without it). The sentiment is Kraftin Kimmie Fairy Sentiments.

I used the Pals Paper Arts sketch shown below and added some sparkle for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge 300 by adding iridescent twine, Doodlebug sequins and the Wink of Stella. My niece Jessie will love it, I think. She's very girlie!

Some other Challenges I'm submitting to are:

ABC Challenge -E is for Exceptionally Cute
My Time to Craft -Fantasy, My unicorn applies to Fantasy
Inkspirational Challenges 77 -Sprinkle, my card is sprinkled with Sequins
In the Pink Challenge 63 -Cute with Pink
2 Cute Ink Challenge -Spring, I used springy colors
